10CH English and PE

during this week we researched a game known as lacrosse, which is mainly played and practiced in America,  we also played a game called kabaddi which is a game similar to bulrush where one person has to run into enemy territory and tag as many people before retreating back to their side and scoring points. In kabaddi, there is also a bonus line where if the raider gets to it they score extra points and when they get back to their side the people they tagged are out.

10 ENG/PED

This Week in English, we have researched and reviewed a game known as Palin, which is a sport designed by the Mapuche people. In class we researched the types of sticks and balls they used in order to play. In order to play the game we first needed sticks, we wet on a journey to the beach and played with the sticks we found. The actual game was played during PE class and required us to make up the rules to make the game fair and enjoyable

media

in media studies, conor and i have been planning a 2 minute long movie and are hoping to film it in a weeks time

In global studies my first unit was cultural diversity, my first task was to research how the British changed New Zealand culture

then using the data given to me by my teacher i surveyed my friend conor and these were his results

His family had been in New Zealand for the past 50 years and his family came from scotland as he can remember
I asked conor about the images of diversity and  he liked the image with the faces because it shows there is no shame in being who you are
I also asked him about the music videos, he prefered half kast. I asked why he put i don’t know

I even asked him about the movie trailers, he chose Invictus because it shows how one man became a legend
